Many electronic products are damaged from drop during transportation. Researchers often spend lots of time and cost on the related experiment. The most common structure experiment is dropping impact test. This method can be used to get the measured test data, but they are inaccuracy, the main problem is that because the experiment occur in a very short time, It is difficult to observe the phenomenon and control the experimental condition, so it is almost impossible to repeat the experiment; to observe the internal feature and phenomenon of products in experiment, such as acceleration response. Compute is applied to analysis dropping simulation for products with a reliable finite element model, It is very convenient to simulating drop of the products in all directions. The dropping simulation results can help designers to find the fragile-part and the fragility of products before mass production, which can guide the optimization design in the early time of product design and help technicist to find the resolvent of problem during improved period. Further more, to improve the design of cushion package.In this paper, ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element software is applied to simulate drop process of the crucial component of pulsator washing machine. Firstly, LS-DYNA finite element software is applied to establish crucial component finite element model of washing machine (suspender,stave,shell) , and the response acceleration curve on stave is gained. Comparing with the results of washing machine dropping experiment, the authenticity of the model finite element is verified. secondly, analysis dropping simulation for crucial component of washing machine in different posture(surface,edge) and at different dropping height, the yielding critical height of suspender is gained ,the result can be used directly in the structural design of washing machine package; the response acceleration curves ,effective stress and plastic strain cloud fringe distribution on stave and shell are also available, Thirdly, analysis dropping simulation for established washing machine package in different posture(surface,edge,corner) and at different dropping height, the critical height of suspender, the effective stress and plastic strain cloud fringe distribution are gained. The node plastic strain curves on the typical body of cushion are also available. Finally, comparing washing machine dropping simulation results with package; comparing the crucial component response results in different posture and at different dropping height, the result is that the more washing machine dropping height raise the more the acceleration response on shell is generated, which lead to damage washing machine easily. The result is that cushioning pad plays an important effect on protecting washing machine .
