Our nation has paid more and more attention on the wind power. Now, wind power technology is the primary means of using the wind. The wind turbine converts wind energy into mechanical energy and then converts it into electrical energy. The wind turbine is made of kinds of complex mechanical equipments. If one of the equipments were broken, the whole wind turbine would have to stop, and it would cause economic loss. Because the equipment is very large, the scene environment is bad and other reasons, it is difficult to maintain and repair the equipment. Therefore, condition monitoring is very essential for the wind turbine.Firstly, the background, significance, situation and development trend of the project are presented. The condition monitoring technology in the application of wind turbine is studied. The structure and working principle of the wind turbine are also studied in this paper. As the equipment of wind turbine is complex and the characteristic frequency is different, an embedded condition monitoring system based on the S3C2410A microprocessor is designed in this paper. It can achieve signal acquisition, as well as the acquisition process of controllable. The vibration signal would get through signal amplification and low-filter then entering A/D to carry on an analog/digital conversion. Finally, the signal was sent into S3C2410A for signal processing, data display and data transmission.Select the embedded Linux as the embedded operating system and establish the software development environment under Linux. Using the serial port to send data to realize programmable gain settings and using the GPIO port to set the low-pass filter's cutoff frequency. The method of digital filtering is used first, and then analysis the data. Amplitude domain analysis, time domain analysis and frequency domain analysis are used to analysis data, and the results are displayed on the LCD. Through the signal waveform we can clearly and easy to determine the fault, and achieve the purpose of initial fault diagnosis. At the same time network programming is used to transmit data to the host computer for further analysis and processing.Experiments prove that the system can effectively conduct signal acquisition and the data processing results clearly displayed on the embedded device. It has a good man-machine interface. The system can satisfy the design requirements.
