In recent years, along with domestic and foreign related emission control laws and regulations day by day strict, is also getting higher and higher regarding the control vehicle exhaust noise. However the traditional muffler design method is mainly based on the experience,this enlarging the design work load on the necessity, increasing the development cost and lengthening the development cycle.This article uses 1-D CFD simulation software GT-POWER for the exhaust muffler design, summarizing a reasonably, the highly effective muffler design flow (method).This article has mainly carried on the following several aspect work:1) Establishes the Shuanghuan's DA468Q gasoline engine and exchaust system's coupling model using the GT-power software.Takes engine's exchaust gas system parameter for the boundary condition of muffler entrance.Carrieing the coupling simulation of the engine and the muffler.2) Takes the engine as muffler's acoustic source, proposed an matching design method, establishing the engine and the exchaust system coupling model using the GT-power software.Studies the interaction between the two, breakthrough carries on the engine, the muffler performance study limitation alone, overall studying muffler's influence to transloss and engine.3) Using the GT-power good engine simulated performance and the special muffler design module, and unify the existing muffler optimization design method, changes muffler's noise elimination performance, specially reduces the air flow's influence to the muffler.Designing the muffler with good structure and high transloss, and performs in the actual match to confirm.4) Muffler design concrete effect which the DA468Q engine, obtained the confirmation in later experiment, confirmed the muffler had the big noise elimination quantity in the entire rotational speed scope, has satisfied the anticipated design target, the exhaust pressure also in the design requirements scope.5) Summarizes, through this research practice, grasps an advanced and feasible muffler design method.
