With fuel crisis and environment pollution, energy saving and environmental protection have become a significant topic. electrical energy has been the main mode of energy utilization in modern civilization. electric vehicle(EV)responses to energy crisis timely, and is in accordance with the discipline of energy utilization. Electric vehicle can realize the advantage of zero emission to the air, environmental protection, energy conservation and can improve vehicles performance, and is easy to realize intelligent management. so EV has been research hotspot all over the world.The permanent-magnet brushless DC motor (BLDCM) has the merits of both the good speed control performance of the Brush DC motor and the simple structure of the asynchronous motor. So it has become the preferred motor in electric vehicle (EV) field. The research on driver of permanent-magnet brushless DC motor is a quite important significance.The operating principle of the BLDCM has been discussed and the operating principle on drive and regenerative brake states of the BLDCM were analyzed. The way of electric current detection will be to discuss, the best current detection will be selected. the control system of BLDCM with repetitive control and the unite of supper capacitance and storage battery be designed, regulating the current and rotate speed in close loop and regenerative brake be realized.The result of the simulation and the experiment shows that the BLDCM has an excellent dynamic and static performance. the effect of the regenerative brake is notable, and have higher driving mileage because when EV brakes. The regenerative current was also controlled according to the chargestate of the battery.
