Line loss is the main section of distribution power system loss. To decrease the line loss of distribution power system, reactive power compensation is necessary. Reactive power compensation optimization is very important to both new power system layout and reconstruction of existing power system. Also it has great significance in guiding the reactive power equipments running of current systems. Therefore, the study of reactive power compensation optimization of distribution power system has high practical value.The thesis analyses present condition and reasons of existing problem during reactive power compensation of zhongyuan oilfield 35kV and below distribution power system. It also studies basic theories of reactive power compensation optimization and founds mathematics model suited for oilfield distribution power system so as to reduce wire loss and improve passing rate of the voltage.The load flow numeration is based on farward/backward sweep method of branch current type.The globally optimal solution and convergence speed are all improved after several method was used on Genetic Algorithm.A wire of the third oil extraction factory of zhongyuan oilfield is analysised by the above-mentioned method and calculations.It works out the best reactive power compensation node and the best reactive power compensation capacitance. The power system's voltage level and the distribution of reactive power are improved. Power supply quality of power system is ameliorated and power loss of power system is reduced.
