In order to improve the brightness,contrast ratio,resolution,uniformity and colors performance of projection displays system, by studying the development of projection displays , especially which is on the base of DLP, and by means of deeply studying nonimaging optics theory and colorimetry theory, the text puts optics extension of nonimaging optics and color design theory of colorimetry into the designment of projection displays system, and also provide a nice theory foundation and means.According to the theory studying, the text proposes a computing method of system luminous flux under the condition of extension matching of the projector double-lamp lighting system, and gets the best matching relation among image chip size ,square rod size and numerical aperture, the designment via using prism double-lamp lighting projection displays system, and making the simulation analysis of the system's energy utilization and illumination uniformity, optimizes the designment of color wheel's curve of spectrum and sectors allocation. Prototype of double-lamp projector has been made and the parameters has been tested, the test result indicates that the double-lamp projection displays system made by the production of the method this text proposed has higher energy utilization, uniformity and better color effect, it shows the designment has a better conformance with the test result.
