The aerial camera is an important instrument for detecting carrier. It is a precision optical instrument installed on the aircraft to take photographs of the objects on the ground. The aerial camera ground scenery simulation system is an indoor detection device for the aerial camera. It can make correct assessments for the technical parameters of the aerial camera in the laboratory, and provide a reliable basis for the test flight experiments out of the laboratory. Therefore, it reduces the use of actual flight for testing, saves a lot of manpower, material, and funds, shortens the development cycle, and plays an important role in promoting the development of China's aviation industry.First, this paper introduces the selection of the designing plans of the ground scenery simulation system of the aerial camera, and chooses the moving film plan finally by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the five plans. The work principles of the moving film plan as well as the system components and their functions are elaborated; including the design of the large-caliber, long focal length collimator used to simulate the infinite targets. The light source, film, motor, encoder selection are also included. And the quality evaluation system of the aerial camera pictures is introduced at last.
