At present, competition in both domestic and international car market become more severe and Automobile panels change more frequently. As know of all, during the development of body in white (BIW) drawing die-face design and its refinement is a fundamental factor. The techniques of die-face design need the accurate assessment of formability and accurately design of binder surface shape, the craft, carefully setting various forms draw bead in different locations, sometime also need variety of anti-rebound techniques. At the same time in die-face design, impact of the follow-up processes should also be considered so that the passing rate of first tryout could be ensured. So two qualifications are required, one is the ability to measure produce feasibility of the part, the other is the technique to assign product process design the die face.In this paper, by using special CAD / CAE software and through many stamping test, several difficult problems about die-face refinement design have been studied and come to some conclusions. The following are my major work and results:(1). For almost all the die-face refinement process it would be an overwhelming task to deal with the wrinkling of part during the stamping process. Several typical part of cars were taken as an example, various phenomena of wrinkling while taking shape to the covering have been carried on deep analysis, and one's own production mechanism and precautionary measures were obtained.(2). Impact line formation mechanism of one of appearance part such as top cover, side enclosing, fender and influence factor, have been imitated and analyzed, which have perplexed people for a long time during the process of die-face refinement design, and obtained various craft parameters to controlling and assaulting the influence degree of the thread.(3). The method of a high strength resilience problem of common U type board from the angle of the project application have been summarized, as to other complicated type of part, springback compensation technology was used to solve the springback problems, such as style passing floor of Geely cars in a new developing resilience one. Thus it made a new experience to die-face refinement of design.(4). The overall processes of one auto body side panel have been taken account in the step of die-face design with the tool of CAD/CAE which successfully optimize the craft of pressing.
