The quality of high frequency straight seam welding pipe mainly lie on the quality of welding line, when high frequency welding, as a result of high temperature, crystal grain of heating zone organization fill-out. The welding area will form hard and crisp if the quick freezing gets down afterward, and because gradient of temperature's existence will also have the welding stress. It serious influence service life of welded pipe if does not carry on the heat treatment. The straight seam welding pipe intermediate frequency induction heat treatment craft is carries on the directional heat treatment using the intermediate frequency electric current electromagnetic induction heating principle direct seam welding pipe's welded line and the heat-affected area. The intermediate frequency induction heat treatment is important method on the heat treatment of welding line. And it also has the widespread application in other many production process. The Finite Element Method(FEM) simulation of the intermediate frequency induction heating process can reflect the change laws for the electromagnetic field, eddy current and thermal field inside of the workpieces.The recent research on the coupling of electromagnetic and thermal field using FEM analysis has practical value in reducing testing cost,assistingin the design of the inductor and improving their technical parameters.in order to research the temperature field of induction heating and the influence to heat treatment by each primary factor, the process of intermediate frequency induction heat treatment of high frequency welded pipe is FEM simulated with ANSYS FEM software in this article.The primary research work in this artcle include:First, based on the analysis about the basic principle of intermediate frequency induction heat treatment for straitgh seam pipe, the questions of solid model, element meshing, boundary conditions and material attributes are sovled, and the finite element model of high frequency induction heating for the straight seam pipe is built by APDL. The process of intermediate frequency induction heat of high frequency welded pipe is FEM simulated with ANSYS FEM software.Second, in this article obtained between the current density, the current frequency, the coil clearance and the heating efficiency relations, providing the reference for the optimized intermediate frequency induction heating heat treatment technological parameter.Third, the temperature field of the frequency induction heating under the actual conditions is simulated and analysed, obtained result with actual basic consistent.Fourth, the welding line has the question that not heated up thoroughly under the actual conditions, and proposed solution which are extension induction heating time and increases an induction coil in pipe, and carry on the simulation computation analysis.
