Proportional solenoid is used widely in mobile hydraulic machineries'pilot operation and remote control under the condition of which does not require very high precision, because of its reliability, compaction anti- pollution and low cost advantages, the load sensing multiple proportional directional valve is a good case in point. Proportional solenoid is the key component connecting control signals and the pilot valve, so its performance determines the control performance of the whole hydraulic system.The essay researched a prop. twi-solenoids designed for a load sensing proportional multiple directional valve which needs localization. The specific content includes the following four aspects.Firstly, a prop. twi-solenoids which applys salverform magnetic pair was designed according to the design parameters and F—I curve gained from working condition requirement.Secondly, prop. twi-solenoids'parametric 2-D model was created by ANSYS software, and static performance simulation was done, and gained some results including magnetic lines and magnetic flux density distribution inside the prop. twi-solenoids as well as the magnetic flux density and magnetic force distribution on the armature's contour nodes . Meanwhile, the influences of the key structural parameters including the radial air gap,magnetic isolation angle,magnetic isolation angle position,stroke length,armature length,magnetic isolation ring on the horizontal force-stroke characteristics..Thirdly, some parts with the key structural parameters was done and installed to the prop. twi-solenoids. Experiment results of the prop. twi-solenoids verified the influences of the key structure parameters gained from the silulation including the radial air gap, magnetic isolation angle, magnetic isolation angle position, stroke length, armature length,magnetic isolation ring on horizontal force characteristics. Finally, relationship between the key structure parameters and the horizontal force-stroke characteristics was synthesized from simulation and test results. Accordingly, it provided some academic and practice guidnce for design and development of the prop. twi-solenoids or prop. solnoids with salverform magnetic pair.
