An AC mutual dragging test platform is established to research the high power AC drive control system, which is of great theoretical and practical significance to localization of AC power traction system.Based on detailed analysis of the operating principle of AC mutual dragging test platform, the principle and calculation method of energy saving of this system are also studied. Also, the control strategy is brought up to the test platform, which is rotor frequency differenced asynchronous motor indirect vector control. The result of the simulation indicates that this method can achieve energy feedback and good energy-saving effect. Based on the results, the relationship of frequency difference and rotation speed and torque is analyzed and verified.Based on LabVIEW, an AC mutual dragging test platform is introduced, which has adopted NI USB-6211, and the design of relative control and protection circuit. The control software is designed and the automatic operation, automatic monitoring, automatic protection of the test platform are also investigated. Moreover, adopting the adaptive PID control algorithm is a great improvement to the traditional one.At last, the experiment results of static and dynamic test on the test platform show that the system is stable and runs well. Also it has solved the problems such as low-speed system stability and rotation pulse.
