Study On The Public Space Of Downtown Of City Of Minority District

"Qiang" is a very old nationality, with a long history, pure and unadulterated culture and special features.People have paid close attention to Qiang's building and settlement. The cities of the Qiang Nationality were destroyed very strongly in the "2008.5.12" earthquake. In this study using on-the-spot investigation, literature investigation, analysis and summary and other methods to research the Qiang's building and public space systemly, it discusses how to reference the characteristics of Qiang's building and public space to make the public space rebuilding design, and enables design to meet the people's psychological requirements and application requirements, adapt to the current characteristics of the times and lifestyles.The space of Qiang' settlement has rich Qiang nationality characteristic:Strewn at random by according to the physical features of Qiang' settlement; Platform roof is used in stereo; Entities are mainly and texture is strong; Adornment is less and exquisite. Based on the rich space of Qiang' settlement, the public space of the center of street and Gate-house, Diao lou, Guanzhai and temple and water channel consolidates the richness of space of Qiang' settlement and provides a new research direction.The downtown of LeiGu is designed in the context of the post-disaster reconstruction and the ethnic minority areas. On the basis of the investigation, extraction and drawing on traditional settlement of the ethnic areas and spatial patterns of urban center, it summarizes the design methods and models to guiding the new projects systemly and checking the applicability of the new design with traditional settlements and the spatial patterns in the centre of town.
