| As an indispensable means of communication for Power system, Power line carrier communications (PLCC) in China is an ancient and young subject. However, traditional analog devices can not fully meet the current market requirements for communication quality.Development and application of power line carrier communications technology are firstly discussed in the thesis. Then, aiming at enhancing the high speed and reliability of the communication on high voltage power line, Trellis Coded Modulation (TCM) is studied for its application in the Power line carrier communication on a digital single sideband (SSB) DSP development platform. Based on the ITU-T Recommendation V.34, the structure of transceiver is comprehensively studied and designed for the PLCC. Key technologies including Shell Mapping, Constellation Shaping and decoding scheme of the convolutional codes are fully discussed. And the hardware structure is proposed based on V.34. The scheme is based on digital SSB PLCC platform and well suited for multi-channel voice and telecontrol signals transmission. The transceiver scheme is conformed finally via computer simulation. The simulation result shows that the proposed scheme can effectively afford 33.6 kbps high data transmission under 30 dB channel condition when combining the improved Gardner symbol synchronization algorithm and Viterbi decoding algorithm. |
