In recent years, with the popularity of modern industrial equipments and civil electrical installations, a large number of non-linear load are applied to daily life and industrial production, so the quality of the public power network become a prominent problem increasingly. This has seriously affected the safe and highly efficient operation of urban economy and the quality of people's life. Therefore, the detection of power quality as a very important research topic in the field of power systems and automation has particular significance.This paper describes the significance of the detection of power quality the necessity of it. It introduces the basic concept of power quality and classification of the problems. Study on the parameters of power quality and the basic principle and algorithm of detecting deeply. Base on the national standards of design requirements, this paper gives a design of power quality detector at the core of TMS320F2806. and specific depicts the design of hardware and software.On design of hardware, the inner structures of the system are designed detailedly on the aspect of power supply, data sampling,clock system, keyboard and LCD display, external memory expand design ,communication interface,and all of these parts have been debugged.On design of software, to facilitate development and future upgrade,The system takes the modular design.The main program proposes a software design that is similar to the Round Robin-time approach in the operating system,which enquires signs of each functional module endless to manage the program and achieve multi-task scheduling program gradation and modularization design. To improve fixed-Point DSP's calculation speed and accuracy,the system compute by FFT which adopts Q format calibration and improved when used in Power System Harmonic Analysis.On account of the Power System exist frequency deviation, the paper introduce an adaptive integral period sampling algorithm to achieves accurate measurement.Finally, its measurement accuracy is verified by the three-phase sophisticated test power, the experimental results show that the monitor has a high accuracy ,good linearity and large dynamic range, accurate statistics, real-time, and work stability, which is able to meet the requirements of the power measurement, as well as reach the real-time monitoring requirements of power equipment.
