| In recent years, the number of motor vehicles has been increasing rapidly. Thus, the prevention for increasing of traffic accidents is becoming a more and more important problem. For the traffic authority department, they not only need to know traffic flows of important road sections; they also need to master the accident data. At present, some information systems only have handled one respect of the two. There is a long way to go in the area of the presentation.This paper takes consideration of real-time traffic information and accident data to develop a road traffic safety information system based on traffic data collection, using electronic map technology, radar technology, AutoCAD technology. In this paper, its work includes:1. Digital map technology is researched in this paper and it analyze efficient data structure and data model of digital map.2. This paper works on space database, which is the base stone of electronic map. It also compares the history data structure and storing structure of space database and designs its own space database of this system based on present space data technology.3. The general design, database design and function module are detailed in this paper based on the space database and realizes it from the need of the system. The realized system could draw the map and accident locale using auto-CAD technology and display the map with traffic flow and speed information on it. And it will analyze traffic accident data which is uploaded by the traffic unit through accident analysis module.Real-time display of traffic flow and data and analysis results could provide important information to policy-making department. It will play its role in reducing the rate of traffic accidents in the aim to prevent accidents happen properly. |
