Coal gangue brick is a new building wall materials with the main raw material for the production of which is made of hollow brick, which is of not only protection of cultivated land, conservation of energy and light weight, high strength characteristics, but also respond to China's recent call of "energy saving emission reduction, " China consumes nearly 30% of building energy consumption,to build a low carbon low consumption society ". in order to achieve energy reduction goals, to develop building energy efficiency imperative, in which the wall of reform is the key. Gangue brick wall can increase the building energy-saving insulation, heat insulation, sound insulation, reducing energy consumption, energy saving rate of 37% or more, so the new material can be used to replace the traditional solid clay brick wall. Although the construction of coal gangue brick houses has got a certain scale, but because of its seismic performance of the current study is relatively little, so this thesis using the materials of the hollow brick masonry started seismic performance for the reference of housing seismic checking and design data.As the main target seismic performance of masonry is measured by resist horizontal seismic forces ability, so the level of gray masonry that the level of bond strength of masonry shear strength is the main advantages and disadvantages of seismic performance indicators.Brick mortar shear effects can be divided into mortar and brick mortar joint bond surfaces, as well as embedded in brick and mortar shear friction hole "off key" shear. Masonry shear theory has two kinds of mole theory and Coulomb theory, but because of the shear mechanism is more complicated, so Brick Masonry Walls how the shear strength value, must test to prove it.As we all kNow, very few masonry structure stand pure shear force but most time in the pressure in the shear force of the composite stress state, such as walls subjected to horizontal loads, the shear stress and normal stress under the combined effect,will formate diagonal cracks often resulting on the development of cracks due to excessive loss of vertical carrying capacity. In addition, lintel, wall-beam shear walls are also in a complex stress state of compression. As the brick structure wall stress in the actual project is more complicated, it is necessary to pass a test method to verify seismic shear wall failure characteristics of coal and give the eismic bearing capacity formula.Light of the situation that current brick wall on the seismic performance of coal and less research is not adequately, the paper will start on the gangue brick specimen compression tests conducted on the coal wall cyclic load test, by recording the destruction of gangue brick wall forms, records of its cracking displacement, yield displacement, and destruction of displacement, drawing coal hysteretic skeleton curve of hysteretic model, the wall energy, the equivalent viscous damping coefficient, ductility coefficient, stiffness index of the level of analysis and by means of ANSYS finite element analysis to simulate the coal gangue brick wall, as a basis for the anti-wall coal reached the level of seismic load on the formula.This paper introduces the gangue brick of the compression test, the material on which ten gangue brick specimens were compression test, the compressive strength and the strength of coal gangue brick proportional relationship with the amount of compression, and as a basis to calculate the shear strength. Then introduced the three coal wall seismic test design, test process and results, summarized characteristics of the wall destroyed, the wall of the cracking load, ultimate load and failure load. Articles main conclusions are as follows:1. Gangue masonry compressive strength values compared with the standard values is a bit low. cracking load is about 65% of ultimate load, the construction should ensure quality.2. Gangue brick wall with columns and ring beams constructed has a good seismic performance. Gangue brick ring beams and columns together into a whole structure, and enhance the ductility and integrity of the wall. help to resist horizontal seismic action, so set the ring beam and column structure is a effective measures to improve the seismic capacity of a masonry structure Construction.3. The strong column and weak beam type of failure modes, coal gangue brick walls under horizontal loads in the destruction of the first cracks form the bottom ring beam, column does not crack, followed by the middle of the masonry cracking, although the wall is still in the cracks after can withstand the load, but in the end because of cracks in the wall loss is too large carrying capacity. As the ring beam and column structures bind to non-occurrence of the whole wall collapsed, so constrained seismic wall performance is much better than no ring beam structure column walls.4. Setting the ring beam structure of the coal gangue brick walls columns and other types of walls compared the test results, coal gangue brick walls is of good shear strength and stiffness, the middle part of the damaged masonry is brittle, because of ring beam and the role of structural columns, the overall damage with certain plastic properties.5. The increase of axial wall stress can enhance the seismic capacity. As stress increases, the viscous damping ratio coefficient increases, energy consumption increased, the greater the ultimate bearing capacity of the wall, the smaller horizontal displacement. While the smaller strength of the material of the wall, although the viscous damping coefficient the greater the energy dissipation is more powerful, but the smaller the ultimate bearing capacity of the wall, the greater the level of displacement. Therefore, the best mortar strength should more than M7.5.6.
