Coal gangue hollow brick is one of new block that adapt to the china’s wall reform andthe housing industrialization, using solid waste of coal gangue, after crushing, ingredients,molding, sintering and other sectors, it becomes high-strength refractory brick, comparedwith clay solid brick, it has a series of advantages, such as saving land, saving buildingenergy consumption, reduce pollution, high-strength and light-weight, sound insulation,earthquake resistance, fast construction speed and so on, and it has a good market. At present,there is no unified theory of mechanical calculations for the coal gangue hollow brick wall,and the experimental study, numerical analysis and theoretical analysis on seismic behaviorof coal gangue hollow brick wall is not comprehensive enough.Steel structure housing system will become one of the future residential marker trend inChina. Steel structure is light weight, remarkable seismic performance, and can factoryproduction, site installation, short construction period, fast return on investment, lessenvironmental pollution and other advantages. Although the steel structure housing has beendeveloped in our country, but considering the coal gangue hollow brick infilled wall influenceon steel frame seismic behavior, the research at home and abroad is still blank. So, havingresearch on the seismic behavior and failure mechanism of the steel frame with coal ganguehollow brick infilled wall, has important practical application value and theoreticalsignificance.In this paper, we have the following several aspects of the research on study on themechanical behavior of coal gangue hollow brick wall and steel frame with coal ganguehollow brick infilled wall under monotonic load and low cyclic loading:1. On the basis of previous seismic tests of gangue hollow brick wall, establish test finiteelement model by using ANSYS10.0software, and compare the results with tests’, verifyingthe correctness of the finite element model.2. In the premise of finite element model is correct, combined with an engineeringexample, design4series27specimens, and considering the vertical pressure, the strengthgrade of mortar, the hole size and position changes, setting structural column etc parameterschanges affect the gangue hollow brick mechanical behavior. The study found that: the vertical pressure and the hole size and position are the main factors influencing the hollowbrick wall mechanical behavior,.at the sane tune, draw the conclusions and design suggestionthat are beneficial to guide the practical engineering.3. Take the above part of the coal gangue hollow brick wall as the control group, embedthem into the steel frame, on the basis of predecessors’ infilled wall steel frame finite elementmodel, analysis the infilled wall hole size and filling wall setting column two parametersinfluence on the mechanical behavior of the steel frame with coal gangue hollow brickinfilled wall, take the conclusion that the infilled wall hole size and the window wall settinghave a larger influence on the bearing capacity and ductility of the structure, suggest thatwhen design the actual engineering, should consider the impact of the change of theseparameters.
