| The continuous development of China education (edbiz), the further advance on internationalization of society, and the teaching media transformation require functional design of China education buildings and its function to be higher level. The rationality of the teaching environment, as the hardware conditions of education reformation, directly impact the teaching quality and education results. All these reflect the significance of studying the function and environment of education buildings. Along with the deeply implementation of strategies of reform & opening up, and national rejuvenation through science & education, the China teaching has adopted the free and open teaching mode. Therefore, the communication & presentation space make urgent demands on the building environment in the new era of education.The purposes of studying the communication & presentation space of the education building are to supplement the limitation of the traditional teaching modes and the access to get knowledge, to establish and improve the interactive features of modern teaching space, to enrich teachers'and students' culture life after life, to broaden students'knowledge, and to promote the mutual cooperation and development between colleges and society.Firstly, the thesis opens with the introduction of characteristics of education buildings in China and foreign countries, from the angel of historical evolution describes the social, economic, cultural reasons of formation of education buildings. Secondly, the thesis introduces the background of formation of communication & presentation space, its forms of realization, its intrinsic value. Then, the author investigates and analyzes the problems of the existing communication & presentation space. Finally, the author concluded that the fundamental reason is that the traditional education space cannot meet the needs of the free and open teaching mode. The author selects four representative Chinese and western university buildings as a typical case, based on exchange study, field survey, visits and investigation, analyze the buildings'different design techniques, and summarizes the intrinsic values of these education buildings.Following the education subject and the social need, comparing the historical innovation and excellent education buildings in China and western education systems, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of their composite forms, the thesis conclude that the design methods and principles of communication & presentation space in education buildings, the methods and principles to create functional features and academic climate in their functional spaces. The further study on luminous environment and sound environment of indoor design draws architect's attention to scientific and physical aspects of the living environment. |
