Study On Characteristics Of The Network And Passenger Flow Of URT

As the fundamental way of solving urban congestion, Urban Rail Transit (URT) is crucial to urban development. With the network of URT network getting mature, the whole network has a great impact on the passenger flow. The network passenger flow is focused in this paper. The purpose of the research is to lay a strong foundation for future network optimization, policy making and operations through the study of network and passenger flow.Firstly, the mathematical characteristics are analyzed in the perspective of network unit and complex network as a whole. The reliability of URT network is studied based on travel time reliability. Then, an idea of network passenger flow (especially the concept of general network passenger flow) is proposed and discussed. Thirdly, the individual learning behavior is divided into three stages: update triggering, perception time updating and departure time choice. Analysis of each stage is carried out and mathematical models are established to describe the three stages. Finally, an internet based SP survey method is put into place with a webpage produced by JSP+TOMCAT6.0+database technology. The above three models are specified with data collected and used in a real case to predict passenger flow in different time periods of rush hour.
