Research On Preventing Reflection Cracks Of Asphalt Pavement With Crumb Rubber Modified Asphalt Stress Absorbing Layer

The propagation of cracks in asphalt pavement caused by the semi-rigid base course cracks is one major distress. Adding stress absorbing layer between reflection cracks, and the stress absorbing layer of crumb rubber modified asphalt is one most effective measure. This paper mainly studied the following four topics:In the first part, anglicizing road out-of-flatness of reflection cracks, and its mechanism, researching the main influence factors including temperature, driving load external factors and pavement structure itself characteristics (especially the old road surface with the cover between layers of bonding) to determine the impact of reflective crack.Using elastic theory, APBI was used to analyze the pavement structure in vehicle loads and the cracking of asphalt layer on the basic status, to reveal the development of reflection cracks and the principle of stress absorbed layer used to reflective reflection cracks.Through a lot of test materials for the stress absorbing layer of crumb rubber modified asphalt, this paper selected high-quality matrix asphalt and crumb rubber. And using conventional test, analyzed crumb rubber modified asphalt, in order to determine the optimal indoor process including reaction time, reaction temperature, mixing proportion and processing method, etc.Compared crumb rubber modified asphalt with SBS modified asphalt, this paper study the applicability of crumb rubber modified asphalt by using the penetration system and PG appraisal system, and then evaluated the price of stress absorbing layer of crumb rubber modified asphalt from the economic benefit.
