The essay researched on stress absorbing layer when cement concrete pavement additionally paved with asphalt concrete; the research plays a significant role in preventing early cement concrete pavement cracks reflection, improving additional asphalt concrete pavement service performance and prolonging its life expectancy. Meanwhile, the essay applies waste tire rubber modified asphalt in stress absorbing layer binder; this method is construction cost-saving and environment-friendly, which would not only fulfill waste tire cyclic utilization, but also be of great significance to economical, social, and environmental benefits.The essay first applies ABAQUS to analyze stress absorbing layer structure, and builds model to simulate stress state of stress absorbing layer, and then put forward a reasonable stress absorbing layer modulus and thickness range.Through the experiment research on rubber asphalt, applying conventional indicators of asphalt, cone penetration, and the index of low temperature flexibility, the essay comprehensively analyzes, then defines the qualities of rubber ashes and high viscosity added in rubber asphalt stress absorbing layer, and optimal plan of inorganic additives, finally arrive at a high-performance rubber asphalt.Through the research on rubber asphalt mixture, applying Low temperature flexibility test, toughness test, interlayer bonding test, the essay is able to comprehensively evaluate the propriety of rubber asphalt mixture. Conclusively, the author determine to take the new style—SATI (Stress Absorbing Toughness Interlayer) as the form of absorbing layer, which is a kind of high toughness, low modulus absorbing layer form taken rubber asphalt as mixture.Finally, the essay verifies the SATI real practices feasibility through the analysis of SATI and sand asphalt concrete materials and costs.
