The human survival and development has been effected by Global climate change deeply, so it becomes a major challenge for all countries in the world. The construction industry which has important impact on climate change is also one of the major sources of greenhouse gases. Currently, construction industry is regarded as a focal area of response to climate change in most developed countries. In these countries they reduce building energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by green building which is built through the energy conservation and environmental protection. However, the evaluation systems of green building assessment are limited to commercial profit both at home and abroad. Many assessment systems are restricted to design stage and the evaluation indicators are also very difficult to adapt to general residential buildings. As a result, researching a suitable assessment system of green building in China is very important.Based on the analysis of domestic and international green building assessment indicators, standards and assessment system for, this paper carried out these following studies:1. Through the analysis of domestic and abroad evaluation indexes about green building, according to China's national conditions, this paper establishes the indexes system for green evaluation of residential buildings based on Life Cycle. By the designed questionnaire, this paper gives out the indexes' weights of every level using Super Decisions software (SD); In order to make the indexes system more scientific and practicable, the evaluation contents of every level were processed by quantitative method.2. According to the guiding thought of "whole process monitoring, assessment in phases", the evaluation system of green residential building can be divided into four parts, which are:Part One:planning phase; Part Two:design phase; Part Three: construction phase; Part Four:operation and maintenance phase.3. Taking Visual Basic.net 2005 as development platform, developed the "Life Cycle Assessment System for Green Residence"(LCASGR). The assessment results were output in the form of EXCEL Sheet, including data, figure and table, which made the results more scientific and humanistic.4. The whole process green assessment of a actual house was carried out with LCASGR evaluation system. The system was preliminarily proved objective and effective, and based on the evaluation results, this paper proposed some measures of improving green performance in each stage.
