The lime-soil has a long history in China. It has many advantages, such as in-situ treatment, control soil with soil, simple construction technique and low requirements for builder's technical standards. It is used to treat collapsible loess, improve the bearing capacity in the northwest and north China, and has achieved good economic and social benefits. The research on lime-soil has got many achievements. Also, the national and industry standards has stipulated clearly for the design and test methods of lime-soil. But, whether the prime soil compaction test methods is suitable for the lime-soil? If it is, how much compacting power could be defined? How much flexural strength and splitting tensile strength should be took? Whether the static loading test is the best detected method for the lime-soil cushion? All of these need to further study.Considering these, this paper has analyzed the compaction test methods, the compacting power, the unconfined compression strength, the flexural strength and the splitting tensile strength of lime-soil by laboratory test, and has got the unconfined compression strength, the flexural strength, the splitting tensile strength and the age of lime-soil and the relationship between each other, which could be referred by designers. On the base of the experimentation and lots of engineering statistics, I have made my views about the compacting power of the lime-soil compaction test. Test results showed that, with the rapid development of mechanical compaction, the maximum dry density by the standard light compaction test has couldn't effectively control the compaction quality of lime-soil cushion at present; it needs to developed new compaction standard by indoor and outdoor match test as soon as possible. In addition, after analyzing an actual project with different calculation methods, it has proved that the static loading test can't effectively reflect the bearing capacity of lime-soil cushion, so the current quality evaluation system for lime-soil cushion is necessary to update.
