The stone and water are scare in many areas of the Loess Plateau, while concreteengineering cost a lot. To solve the problem, soil curing agent can be used as an option bymaking use of local soil and water resources to carry out the experiensive concreteengineering. However, researches on loess solidification technology curing agent are notadequate. Thus MBER soil solidifying agent selection of independent research anddevelopment is selected and the following conclusions are drawn through splitting test:(1) The ensile strength of concrete, and especially of cement engineering is quite small.Using the strength of the cement soil research experience as a reference, the "splittingmethod" on MBER solidified soil splitting tensile strength was successfully carried out.Testing solidified soil and cement soil with dosage, age, density, water content and otherfactors in the method of "splitting", this research focuses on variation law of the tensilestrength of the solidified soil.(2) After doing splitting tensile strength tests on different areas of the Loess Plateau soil,findings come out including various patterns of splitting tensile strengths. Places includingZhungeer Qi Loess Plateau, Yanan, Ansai, Yangling and other regions of the loess werechosen as samples to be tested. Tests were done to the mixed solidified soils with differentratios when taking into consideration their physical and chemical characteristics, andresults show that, the splitting tensile strength in general is from0.08Mpa to0.47Mpa anddecreases first with clay content increase—increase of the dose, density, and age; moisturecontent increases first and then decreases, it reaches the maximum value near the optimumwater content. Taking into consideration the related test, this research explains the initialrelationship between solidified soil splitting tensile strength and unconfined compressivestrength.(3) After getting data of the splitting tensile strength of solidified soil based on theapplication of stabilized soil road, with the help of ANSYS software in analysing thestabilized soil road stress,important properties of solidified soil mechanics are analyzed.One finding is that solidified soil materials meet the maximum tensile stress of the strengthrequirements. And the optimal thickness of solidified soil used as road surface layer is givenafter optimization calculation.
