| The city spatial structure is one of the main research contents of urban planning. The urban spatial structure will adjust itself according to the city's social and economic development. Currently, Ankang is facing new development opportunities as well as challenges, and rational urban spatial structure will be needed in order to make a breakthrough in urban spatial development. Meanwhile, Ankang has not accurately understood its own development orientation, development paths, development pattern or development targets in its regional development. At the present stage, the only way to help Ankang get rid of the currently passive and blind urban development situation is to investigate into urban spatial structure which is suitable for the new development goals of the city.This study can be divided into four parts. In the first part, relevant facts have been stated, and some questions have been presented, while the opportunities and challenges faced by Ankang in its regional city development have been analysed, and theoretical and practical results related to this research have been summarized.In the second part,. to begin with, the historical evolution of urban spatial development in Ankang city has been reviewed and urban spatial development rules have been summarized. Then, current development situation of the towns in administrative region and spatial structure in central areas of the city have been studied, and problems existing in urban spatial development in recent years have been induced and summarized.In the third part, the essential problem of Ankang urban spatial development has been defined and practical develpment goals have been proposed through the study of the changes in the city's external environment and internal development conditions and of its influences.Other than that, the future paths of Ankang urban spatial development have been explored from several aspects, namely the industry development, the space structure, and ecological environment,etc, and strategic and sustainable control measures have been put forward.Finally, the current characteristics of the industrial development, the changes of the industrial structure, and the relationship between industrial and urban spatial structure of Ankang have been studied, and the integral strategy of industrial development have been set forth. In the fourth part, the development orientation and strategy of Ankang have been carefully analysed, based on which the main development direction has been determined, and the main elements that would influence the changing and the development trend of urban spatial structure have been analysed. In the meantime, based on the preceding statement, this paper has carried out exploratory thoughts over the major problems existing in the urban spatial structure as well as their optimization methods, and has put forward the corresponding measures and suggestions.This paper has suggested that at present stage, the traditional developmental path of small-medium cities must be abandoned, and the balance between the function and structure of the city must be established. Besides, long-term goals that are suitable for the city's sustainable development must be set, and a dynamic, well-suited urban spatial structure must be built. Livable and ecological landscape garden city should be the development goal of Ankang, and on this basis should the city's spatial and industrial structure be adjusted, so that Ankang would not repeat the history of the developed areas, where the environment was sacrificed in order to boost the economy. The urban industrial development should lead a sustainable and new industrialized path. The urban space should, according to the idea of compact development, break the original single-centered developmental pattern, and a dubble-centered, organized and sustainable developmental situation of the urban space should be established based on the intrinsic "one river two bands" scheme of the city. |
