Building energy consumption accounts for 27.6% of the whole social energy consumption. In some extremely cold areas, this proportion can be as high as 50%, in which the heating energy consumption in northern cities reaches 40%. Because of this, building energy consumption is one of the most effective measures for energy saving. Of all the types of heating system, general heating technique develops and reaches maturity, and it is now brought into wide use. However, in some areas where the energy is pinch, the type of local heating can be imported in buildings, which may satisfy people's demand for thermal comfort, as well as solving the problem of the balance between supply and demand of energy source. At present, the study of local heating buildings focuses on heat transfer between residential units in household-based heat metering. However, for a building with a certain local heating system, little research has been conducted in the indoor temperature and heat load, so that in actual projects relative basis is insufficient. In view of these facts, the author has done some theoretical and stimulant study on indoor temperature and heat load of local heating buildings.According to the classification discussion of heat transfer in the envelopes of local heating buildings, the differences of this between general heating and local heating buildings are discovered. In order to integrate theory with practice, a single storey and a multi-storey building are chosen as examples for stimulant research, in which many kinds of local heating schemes are used, and the results shows the indoor temperature of non-heating rooms and heat load of heating rooms in typical cities of three climatic zones. After the data procession of indoor temperature in non-heating rooms, the ranges of mean temperature, maximum temperature and minimum temperature are summarized, besides, whether they can satisfy people's demand for thermal comfort are derived. In addition, with the analysis of the heat load in a certain room in different heating schemes, a new term, adjustment factor, is brought up, and the value range of it in different conditions are given. According to this, a method to calculate the heat load of heating rooms in a local heating building is put forward. The computational method in engineering can improve work efficiency, and the range of the different types of temperature shows people's satisfaction level to the indoor environment of different buildings.
