In allusion to the existing problems of the current domestic and foreign turbidity measuring, a new laser turbidimeter was designed. The turbidimeter has fast measuring speed, good stability and high-precision, which is based on the principle of the photovoltaic conversion. This paper focused on the design of hardware circuits, software program and measurement accuracy.The turbidity measurements was made according to the measuring principle of turbidity with scattered light. Then the hardware and software circuits of the turbidimeter were designed. The INA128 module was selected as a pre-amplifier, AT89S52 single chip micyoco (SCM) as the main controlling chip, MAX186 as an A/D converter module. The 650 nm wavelength infrared laser was used as a light source, and silicon photoelectric generator as a photovoltaic conversion components. At the same time, the transmission and 90o scattered light signals were amplified and sampled alternately. Then put the data and signals into AT89S52 for processing and displaying. Finally, the testing experiment of the apparatus was done. The result shows that the correlation coefficient is good, and the turbidity measurement is stable and reliable, repeated measurements of high precision. In view of these advantages, This turbidity meter has already applied to the Jilin Oil field, some of Daqing Partial Factories and mines, and obtained users'consistent high praise.The turbiditor has a good theory and application.
