Tibet is very big, however, she has small population. The road during two cities in Tibet is very long, however, the transportation freight or passengers is not huge. There is so much gravel aggregate in Tibet, we will save much money and develop new road at quick speed if we use it as pavement base course when people construct road, do not use stabilizing material as base course. Therefore, through many tests and theoretical analysis, this paper roundly studies the bearing capacity and nonlinear characteristic of gradation gravel and gradation stone base course asphalt pavement, which put forward the design method of gradation gravel and gradation stone base course asphalt pavement. All these will give some proof when people use gradation gravel aggregate and gradation stone as pavement base course.This paper relies on technology research project in Tibet"The research of gradation gravel and gradation stone base course asphalt pavement", base on the analysis of pavement structure and design method of the flexible base asphalt pavement in and out of domestic, measure the mechanical parameter gradation stone ,the result of the analysis shows the mechanical parameter is relation with the gradation and the biggest sizes of the crush stones .Apply ANSYS software to analyze influence of different pavement structure to mechanic response of flexible base asphalt pavement, find rule of tensile stress, shearing stress and compressive strain on the top of subgrade. Through studying different design methods and index in country and overseas and considering transportation characteristics of Tibet, probe into design method of granular base asphalt pavement in Tibet.The results of this paper provide important scientific theory and practice for use gradation gravel and gradation stone as granular base course when construct road in Tibet, The law of stress and strain convey also is afterward significant for pavement structural design and analysis.
