The steel bridge deck pavement is one of the most key technologies of the long-span steel box girder bridge construction, and has received great attention and concern both from the oversea academia and engineering. Since the 1990s, China raised the construction fever of the long-span steel box girder bridge, and the study to the steel bridge deck pavement begun in this period. Through many engineering practices and wild range study, China's steel bridge deck pavement technology made considerable progress and formed a relative mature technology of asphalt concrete pavement. But from the usage point of the opening bridges, the using conditions and environment of the domestic bridge are different with the foreign bridge, there are more bridge diseases, especially, the traffic composition of China is complex, heavy vehicle and overload vehicle is in high proportion, there are have been engineering practices shows that we can't apply the foreign pattern to China's steel bridge deck pavement directly.The FPR–steel bridge deck asphalt concrete pavement is a new pavement structure developed by Chongqing Jiaotong University Complex material team, which is based on the ANSYS finite element analysis and laboratory pavement structure test results. The new pavement structure is safe, reliable and simple construction all those characteristics are showing their better performance than the existing asphalt concrete pavement technology, and provide new idea for further steel bridge deck pavement and new way for the steel bridge deck pavement research and application.In this paper, make full theoretical analysis to bridge beck disease both at home and abroad, study the extensive use of the FRP composite material in the civil engineering construction, subject to the material properties and structural characteristics, based on the ANSYS finite element software, use the Jiangying Yangtze river bridge as the example to verify the structural behavior (the stress, strain and deflection .etc ) of the FRP- steel bridge deck asphalt concrete pavement, and finalized adopt different pavement materials as the structural model test theory base, to do the static load to the FRP steel bridge asphalt concrete pavement to further verify the structural superiority of it.
