The main function of the oil port is dealing with oil storage, transfer and transportation. The most common mode of operation is process scheduling, which can not do without the normal operation of each device. Therefore, how to manage the oil port facilities scientific and effective, improve operational efficiency, ensure safety, is a very interesting topic. Process equipments of oil port are mainly researched in this paper. Based on theoretical basis of Selective Maintenance System, combined with the character of oil port equipments, by help of computer platform, the oil port facilities visual maintenance management system was developed. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) Foundation of Oil Port Equipment Maintenance Management System. Taking production facilities in oil port as objects, a process-based network of oil port equipment maintenance management system was formed, in which all devices on the same process managed horizontally, specific devices managed vertically.(2) Discussion of Oil Port Equipment Coding System. Learning from ships, aircraft and petrochemical industry equipment coding system, encoding rules for oil port production facilities were proposed.(3) Research on maintenance strategy for key equipments in oil port. Statistical methods of history recorded data for failure equipments were introduced, from which we can find failure law of equipment. Then, equipment preventive maintenance intervals derived were obtained from two angles, the maximum reliability and minimum maintenance cost.(4) Combined with some oil port's real situation, the maintenance tasks distribution model was studied when sudden failure happened to the oil port operations equipments.(5) Development of Oil Port equipment maintenance management system. After requirements analysis and framework design, Visual C# and SQL Server2005 database were used to develop the oil port equipment maintenance management system. Visual concept was brought into the development process of the system.
