Research On Port Equipment Maintenance Management Based On Reliability

Equipment management is the focal point of enterprise management, as equipment maintenance management is the core of equipment management. Port is the equipment-intensive enterprise, so equipment is the physical infrastructure of port operations. Equipment maintenance management level, which has become an important indicator of ports competition, directly effects running smoothly or not. In so many maintenance management theories, reliability theory closely related to the personal safety and economic benefits getting more and more attention. This paper introduces Reliability Centered Maintenance(RCM) to the maintenance management of port equipment in the purpose of achieving reliability-based maintenance management in port. And it studys how to implement RCM.First, the research background and significance are proposed. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the current research situation of the equipment maintenance management theory and RCM at home and abroad, this paper presents the content and research methods.Second, after analyzes the concept of equipment maintenance management and reliability, the paper illustrates the features and the implement process of RCM. All of these establishes the theoretical foundation for constructing a reliability-based maintenance system for port.Third, according to the composition and characteristics of port equipment, this paper objectively evaluates present situation of port equipment maintenance field in China and points out the problems.Then, it gives the failure analysis method——Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, maintenance mode decision logic model and decision-making model for preventive maintenance cycle. Applying management knowledge it builts the port equipment maintenance management system combined with reliability centered maintenance management in order to make the reliability-based maintenance to be implemented in port enterprise.Finally, the paper makes empirical study on equipment maintenance in the Qinhuangdao Port. Through the numerical examples of car dumper maintenance it makes reliability-based maintenance decision and result evaluation. Furthermore, the paper puts forward some development strategies for implementing reliability centered maintenance management in port.
