With the rapid development of the transportation industry, huge economic benefits and social effects has been brought. The transportation industry also brought many problems to the traffic control and the social life, even caused many issues on people's lives and great losses of state property. Therefore, it is particularly important to ensure traffic safety, and technological measures are needed to support the traffic accident analysis and clear responsibilities affairs. Vehicle traveling data recorder is the intelligent product which is installed in motor vehicles to simultaneously record and monitor the entire vehicle running, prevent traffic accidents. Its widespread using in the future not only will greatly improve traffic safety, and has important practical significance for traffic enforcement and level raising of transport management.We design a vehicle traveling data recorder system after researching of the domestic vehicle traveling data recorder development and learning mature experience of domestic and foreign automotive electronics, The main control chip used 32-bit ARM chip STM32F103, chip's powerful performance ensuring the capabilities and real-time of system's data processing, they can very easily expand the relevant circuits, a variety of interface convenient for data to transfer and sharing, it also has Low-power, high temperature, and interference characteristics. So it is suitable for automotive which is with the characteristics of environment variable, circuit complexity, interference power and so on. The data acquisition module of system is based on I/O interface, it not only reduce costs, simplify systems, improve stability, but also can more flexible and easy to acquire a variety of cars driving signals. We also designed the data storage and data communication circuits, especially the design of the RS232 interfaces, USB interfaces and other data communication, offer great convenience for data sharing and integrated management. Through the human-machine interface circuit such as IC card, keyboard and LCD screen, the user can be very intuitive to operate the recorder, observe the operation of cars at real-time and upload or download vehicle driving records as require.In addition, taking into account the complexity circuitstrong and strong interference environment of the recorder, anti-interference measures have been made in the power supply, signal acquisition and other aspects to ensure the accuracy and stability of data collection. For future system expansion and upgrade, we has also set aside a lot of space and retain some circuits in the design process, the function can be realized just to change the corresponding software design.
