In this paper, the brake disc as the main component of the disc brake is made parametric model and finite element analysis using Matlab, CATIA, ANSYS, and obtain the size parameters, performance parameters and the finite element model. Basically the design platform of brake disc is set up.The paper also introduces the development and application of disc brake development platform at home and abroad today,analyzes the significance and background of brake digital platform, makes a description of the structure and basic principle of the disc brake. And make out the basic idea of the digital platform:make use the results of modern CAD/CAE, design the integrated digital platform meeting the size of disc brake design,3D modeling and finite element analysis,and get the appropriate design parameters and analysis results.Made out the design requirements of brake system, develop the basic design criteria. Identify the major brake performance and size parameters, and according to theoretical calculation formula,make the brake design calculation by writing the Matlab program.Analyze and contrast the traditional CAD design and parametric design of the advantages and disadvantages, explaine the basic steps of the parametric design. The brake system has many parts, but some of them are irregular structure, and need to define too many size parameters,are not easy to make parametric design. Therefore, the paper introduces the process of CATIA parametric modeling by brake disc modeling, and the relationship between the related documents. Analysis and determine the brake disc's basic drive parameters, use the module Catalog Editor in CATIA to establish the brake disc standard parts library, and can generate the brake disc model by parametric driving. Introduce the basic theory of finite element method and ANSYS software development process, which also highlights the general steps of the finite element analysis and the main functions and modules of ANSYS. Then the model set up by CATIA is imported into ANSYS, according to the material parameters of brake disc,set the elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio and density in the preprocessor module,and mesh the brake disc for the finite element model. Finally,compare the shape of model and analyze the frequency of structure. Extraction method using Block Lanczos method, get the first ten modal,compare the vibration type and analyze the structure according to the frequency results. |
