Reciprocating compressor is the core equipment of chemical factory, but the pipeline connecting reciprocating compressor often vibrates because of the uneven flow producted by reciprocating compressor. It will affect the normal production and lead to huge economic losses. To avoid that accident happening, it is necessary to make a proper,correct and in accordant with engineering practice mechanical analysis for the pipeline connecting reciprocating compressor.In the paper, taking a liquefied natural gas plant with two reciprocating compressors as an example, and making a detailed analysis of the static and dynamic mechanical analysis using the finite element analysis theoretical study method closely technology processes, pipline, support methods, engineering practice and so on. Making use of CEASERII finite element software and MATLAB soft as two study method to calculate the stress by the weight and thermal expansion of the pipe, the Natural Frequency of the Mechanical and the Gas Columns of the pipe.Giving a valuable method applying to engineering practice about study of the vibrating pipeline connecting the reciprocating compressor. Combining with analysis of calculation results to determine the main reason for the piping vibration and to propose an effective measures of vibration damping, such as changing the pipeline direction, to change the support methods, using damper and buffer tank. In the end,taking a comparison with these vibration damping measures,and get different optimal damping method applying to different engineering practice in the plant.
