The secure, economic and reliable operation of power grid is an extremely important issue for the power system engineers, and the violation phenomenon of power grid is a major aspect which needs to be studied urgently.The sensitivity method is adopted in this paper to study the off-limit phenomena in power grid, which include the voltage violation and the branch power flow violation. Based on the topology structure and operation mode of power system, the sensitivity matrixes used for the nodal voltage and branch power flow respectively have been solved in detail. According to the value of two sensitivity matrixes, the adjustment measures have been determined for the violation phenomena in power grid. Then the formations of the sensitivity matrixes are implemented by VC++ 6.0 software in thesis. Finally, the presented method is validated in the 5 and 26 bus system. It reveals that the control method is correct and effective.
