In China, the non-solidly earthed neutral is widely used in distribution system. When the system of single phase to ground, due to the fault current is weak, the arc of instability and other reasons, single-phase ground fault location problem has not been resolved a long time.This paper studies a comprehensive line selection and positioning system, to achieve-line ground fault location in the design and application. This study is the signal injection unit substation for ground fault occurs when the frequency of the fault phase into the special characteristics of the signal; development of feeder positioning control unit, fast ground range discrimination, pinpoint location, and then take place fault isolation, the system maintain the continuity of electricity supply as much as possible, improve the quality of power supply. The research results will be piloted to BuXi 512 line of BuGuGou substation applications.
