Changzhou Wujin District is located in the south of Jiangsu Province, the northwest of Taihu Plain. The district is wide, flat and low, the river network is dense. Yunnan Area is in south of Jinghang Canal, north of Taihu Lake, east of Wuyi Canal and Ge Lake, west of the boundary of Wujin District, and it's the commercial, industrial and residential centre of Wujin District. At present, the criterion of flood protection and storm drainage in Yunnan Area is low and could not accommodate the economic development demand. Especially along with the Taihu Basin environment improvement project launching, the drainage pattern need adjustment accordingly, so it's in urgent need for river system adjusting and planning.This paper has discussed two problems including river system planning and water environment attemperment.â‘ according to the concrete conditions of the river system in Yunnan Area, combined with basin , region and city comprehensive planning, matching with Xingou River project, this paper has completed the following works: classification and function orientation of the rivers, planning of Wuyi Canal, Cailing River and other first and second grade rivers and correlated matching buildings; polders combination; third grade rivers dredging, widening and connection planning, flood control and storm drainage infrastructure construction planning; checking the main river sections by one dimension unsteady flow model; formulating river blue line which provides basis for river protection and management; setting water safe rate which not only is the safeguard against flood and storm, but also the requirments of flood control and storm drainage and ecology and sight.â‘¡because the factories near the Wunan River are dense and the nearby rivers are heavily polluted, this paper plans to improve water quality through water exchange project, and simulates the water exchanging process by unsteady flow model, calculates water exchange time of different schemes, and proposes water exchange uniformity as optimization selecting index.
