The multi-function is becoming the development trend of buildings day by day, and in order to meet the diversified demands of the structural function and architectural appearance, a large number of buildings with complicated size are emerging constantly.Along with the improved requirements for building structural types and usage functions,single building are designed to be connected to each other through different skybredges.The connected buildings refer to one group of buildings connected by one or more skybridges setting between two or more buildings at certain elecation. Through the skybridges, the originally separated structures become one part of the whole structure.This has made the structures design a more challenging task than ever.Under the earthquake excitation, the connected structutes'response is more complicated than the monomer structures'.So the analysis about the dynamic property, stress mechanism and dynamic response are worth to go to further studies.It is important to do some research for the development of the connected structures.Researches on complicated connected structures are prevalence in the level connected structures but incline connected structures because of mini-figure and much complex in the incline connected structures and is lack inevidence in the later with the development of production.Studies on static behaviors, dynamic characteristics and seismic responses of one of the connected structures---- incline connected structures are given systematically in this paper, which give a help to a deeper understanding of this special structure.Researches before deepen and some reasonable guidelines for engineer design and analysis has been provided in the paper.The classification,characteristics, the actual study of the connected structures, the process of seismic study and the finite element theory are introduced;In this paper, ANSYS software in finitee lement method is used for the mode analysis of the single and whole structures. Some problems are studied, such as tilt changes of the connection and the stiffness changes, the location changes of the twin-tower structures and the number of the layer of the twin-tower structures. Dynamic analysis is carried out for complicated connected structures in finite element method to get correlative conclusion;The results show that:Incline connected structures under earthquake excitation frequently exhibit an amplified twist effect; Influence of the connection stiffness on the seismic response is great;It has framing effect between the skybridge and the main structure; With the increase in mass and quantity of the skybridge,the degree of summit-shift increase, with increased strengthening within the skybredge, the degree of summit-shift is reduced; The layer displacement angle which the skybridge located obviously reduced; While the skybridge is setting,the degree of summit-shift is advantageous to structure; When the structure is a large eccentric structure, the rigid joint should not be used in skybredge;When the long-span steel incline connects structure has large slope, the skybridge which has large stiffness should not be used in structure.
