The Double-Tower Connected Structures(DTCS), a new structure system of tall buildings, has been applied widely in Practical engineering, but researches about it are not systemic or deeply. Studies on structural dynamic characteristics, seismic responses of the structure are given systematically in this paper, which give help to a deeper understanding of the basic conception of the structure. The paper also builds the foundation for further researches and provides a reasonable design guidelines. The difference between the DTCS and the single tower structure is it's multiple components. The interaction mechanism among the components must be grasped in order to understand the DTCS deeply. comparing with the double-tower structure without connections, connections are the keys to interconnect the components, and emphasis is put on the analysis of the connections in this paper, Effects of many factors, such as symmetry of two towers, connections stiffness and location etc, on the dynamic behaviors, seismic responses of the DTCS are investigated in detail. The dynamic properties of the symmetric DTOCS and the unsymmetrical DTOCS are investigated ,The effects of the stiffness and location of the connection to the dynamic properties of the two structures are deeply investigated. The influence of the removal of the connection or not to the dynamic properties of the two structures are also investigated. The influence of the numbers of modal combination and the mode combination methods to the seismic response of the DTOC and the unsymmetrical DTOC are investigated. The effects of the stiffness and location of the connection to the seismic response of the structures are analyzed. The influence of the removal of the connection or not to the seismic response of the two structures are investigated. Finally, an example of DTOC is introduced. The selection of the form of the connections and the process of the dynamic computation are presented.
