This thesis discusses that present situation about doing research in electric vehicles, active suspension and passive suspension and virtual reality technology. At the same time, it also describe the features, application, the types of basic module of ADAMS software; and the ADAMS software system modeling and simulation of the solution process and its dynamic principles; it focus on the features and modeling procedures and templates established process of ADAMS/CAR and front suspension modeling and parameter optimization process of the electric vehicle.In the modern design of electric vehicles, it is a simple and economical method to configure electric vehicle in terms of traditional vehicles. The converted electric vehicle is concerned, in addition to the original installation of the traditional vehicle engine and related components from the electric motors, power converters and battery was replaced; on the other hand, the other change is that the weight of vehicle turns larger relatively, which creates body mass and the parameters of the original suspension does not match, it destroyed the vehicle's handling stability and ride comfort. Therefore, workers need re-verification and optimization parameters and dimensions of the electric vehicle suspension and its components in order to achieve the mutual matching between vehicle body and suspension, thereby improving the electric vehicle's ride comfort and improving driving performance.Thesis cites an instance which occurs matching problem after electric vehicle BY-2 was configure in Jinan, to this problem, we give some solution advice:that is, first check each part of the front suspension parameters in Jinan, and then to check, after the parameters, using ADAMS/CAR build front suspension model, and dynamic simulation model; based on suspension parameters after checking and then use ADAMS /Insight on the model parameter optimization module, which are ideal model of the front suspension. After the model parameters to optimize the guidance can improve the product quality.First, do the check of the initial conversion of vehicles on the front suspension parts, namely:helical springs, cylindrical shock absorbers, stabilizer bar and other parts of the performance parameters and the size, obtain new parameters which can match the body mass.Second, according to the parameters, based on ADAMS/CAR created for the analysis of suspension before the suspension model complex movement, focusing on creating a horizontal stabilizer bar with the model of Macpherson suspension, and the model is two- Dynamics Simulation of parallel wheels beat analysis, using ADAMS/ PostProcessor get wheel alignment parameters:the front wheel camber angle, caster angle, kingpin inclination angle, scrub radius,1 toe angle with the wheel center beating itinerary changes, analyze and identify the inadequacies of the front suspension.Finally, optimize the design about the vehicle front wheel alignment to. Set the scope of change within the pivot shift lever, shift rod outside the fulcrum, the connection point under the steering knuckle arm and lower arm coordinate frame connection points, using ADAMS/Insight to optimization model. According to the optimized parameters derived from coordinate values modify the original model, conduct of trial of beating wheeled parallel, Comparing the optimization curves to before, verifying the correctness of the optimization theory.
