In recent years, the hybrid simulation of electromagnetic transient and the electromechanical transient process is becoming a leading subject in the power system simulation field. How to establish the real-time electromechanical transient simulation model under RTDS is one of the key issues of the hybrid real-time simulation. This paper firstly studies the basic principles and simulation processes of the electromechanical transient process, and analysis the mathematical model of the power system component. On this basis focuses on the features of the RTDS/CBuilder simulation environment. Then described the restrictions of the real-time and memory capacity. Through the use of multi-threading, Gauss network simple methods established the electromechanical transient simulation models based on CBuilder. And IEEE9 and IEEE39 bus system simulation experiment have taken and have a comparative analysis with BPA software, which prove the correctness of simulation model. Finally, the real south grid six machine system simulation experiment illustrates that the established electromechanical transient simulation model can expand the size of simulation scale of RTDS.
