With the rapid growth of the size of distribution network, network-to-ground capacitive current is increasing continuously. As a result, resonant neutral grounding operation mode has become the development direction of distribution network. This paper relies on the cooperation with enterprises, and focuses on the control system of arc-suppression. Arc-suppression coil control system is the core of the whole compensation system, directly determine the effects of arc-suppression coil compensation. Because Different compensation strategy is the difference between different control system, in-depth analysis was made of traditional per-tune strategy and with-tune strategy. On this basis, the concept of "generalized" main and auxiliary arc-suppression coil was proposed. Based on the structure of the mainstream arc-suppression coil, design idea of main and auxiliary arc-suppression coil was proposed, and a combined compensation strategy with pre-tune and with-tune was designed. On this basis, control system was designed with IPC as core controller. And, on VC6.0 development platform, a common control system program development was made.Currently, the arc-suppressions and the control systems in use are variety. It is very unfavorable to installation and coordination. The proposing of "generalized" main and auxiliary arc-suppression coil and the developing of common control software provide useful ideas for the design of arc-suppression coils and the development of control systems.
