The energy-saving of electric power industry is an important long-term task for the development of the national economy. Power plants from the realities of China's current situation, energy-saving potential is great. This article mainly analyzes the performances of turbine,condenser and circulating water system, and establish the mathematical model of these systems, based on the theory of optimum vacuum. Take the actual running condition about 600MW unit of one power plant as a example. Through the comparison of all sorts of circulating water system under the cooling water at different temperatures and different unit load, derived the conclusions of the superiority of circulating pump with frequency adjustment. The circulating water system has three kinds of operating mode, including two constant-speed pumps, one constant-speed pump and one frequency conversion pump and two frequency conversion pumps.
