Study On Form Design Strategy Of Landform Architecture

Landform architecture is a new architecture type, mainly used in the base with harsh environmental conditions as close to natural beauty or historic sites. Environmental factors determine the generation of landform architecture and its architectural form. Coordinating the relationship with the environments, the design strategy that landform architecture responds to the surrounding environment with its form constitutes a new model of regional dialogue with the expressive appearance. At the same time the blend of multidisciplinary and the elevation of technological level as well as the progress of Architecture's own academic logic also promotes the development of landform architecture greatly.This paper defines the concept of landform architecture and summarizes morphological characteristics of various stages and design revelation of landform architecture with the exposition of morphological evolution of the integration of architecture and landform. On the base of systematic overview of the background and theoretical basis of landform architecture as well as detailed analysis of the morphological characteristics and influencing factors of landform architecture this paper classifies landform architecture as blanking type landform architecture and mimicry type landform architecture according to the different performance forms and the different strategies to cope with the environments using the method of architecture typology. In the core chapters this paper discusses the form design strategy of landform architecture in various types from the perspective of macro-and micro-topography with the analysis of a large number of instances.At the macro level, the paper explores the form design strategy of landform architecture mainly from the view of the integration of architecture and environment, including the relationship position of architecture and environment and the response of architecture form. Realizing the dynamic opening through the public of the base and the infiltration of the border space as well as merging surrounding environment through the reconstruction of the traditional figure-ground relationship, landform architecture reoriented the relationship between architecture and the environments. As the morphological response, landform architecture merges the natural environment or responses to the local environment by blanking or mimicry through architectural landscape processing.At the micro level perspective the paper discusses the form design strategy of blanking type landform architecture and mimicry type landform architecture from the performance of the external shape, the handling of structure and materials as well as the guide and shape of architectural space.The paper proposes the form design strategy of landform architecture through the analysis of the form relations of architecture and land. Expanding new ways of the overall development of architecture and the environments this paper enriches the architectural design theory and promotes the healthy development of the new architectural design.
