| In recent years, urban expressway plays an important role in urban transport with the rapid development of urban expressway in cities. Meanwhile, investment on public transit is increasing year by year according to the appeal of promoting the public transport. Moreover, more and more bus lines are set on the expressway to improve the efficiency of public transport. Due to the fact of that there is no uniform standard for the design of bus stations on urban expressway, the bus stations are set unreasonable. And because of this, the efficiency of urban expressway and the level of bus service are greatly affected, which against the original intention of setting the bus lines on expressway. Therefore, the relationship between bus station and access of urban expressway is discussed in this paper. The method of micro-simulation and orthogonal experiments are conducted in this study:1) The general method and procedure of micro-simulation software calibration is summarized based on the design principle of orthogonal experiment. Moreover, this method is used to calibrate the micro-simulation model of section of urban expressway access in this paper.2) The simulation of the relationship between bus station and access of urban expressway is designed according to the orthogonal experimental design. Meanwhile, visual analysis and variance analysis of test results are done. The optimum and the sub-optimum proposals of bus station layout on four forms of urban expressway are given based on the comprehensive analysis of experimental results. The result can be a reference for perfecting "Specifications for Design of Urban Expressway".The optimum proposals of bus station layout on four forms of urban expressway are studied according to the model which has been calibrated in VISSIM (shown in Table 0-1):General guideline of bus station layout around access on any form of urban expressway is given: the bus station should be bay and the bus routes should not be more than 8. |
