With the application of the national ETC internet charging system,the number of the ETC users increases rapidly,ETC toll station of expressway affected by the lane layout,still has widespread Lane congestion and low traffic efficiency.Based on the analysis of traffic efficiency and the quantification of traffic characteristics,this paper studies the optimal design of ETC Lane in toll station and the practical technology of ETC Lane anti adjacent road and following interference.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)This paper summarizes the current research situation of ETC lane traffic efficiency and lane layout,and points out problems in ETC lane of existing toll station,such as failure to fully consider the traffic characteristics and optimal traffic efficiency,low traffic efficiency and vehicle speed,anti-interference ability of adjacent lane as well as following vehicle.All these problems need to be improved urgently.(2)In this paper,the basic functions,working process and overall design method of ETC lane are summarized.Additionally,three kinds of layout from ETC Lane communication area to automatic railing area are also reviewed in this paper.Three kinds of layout from ETC Lane communication area to automatic railing area are reviewed.This paper compares the three layout modes in terms of driving speed,construction cost and management cost,and makes define the applicability of each mode.(3)In response to the deficiency of existing ETC lane design methods,this paper introduces the feature quantitative calculation methods of ETC Lane vehicle arrival speed,vehicle arrival time and ETC vehicle type.This paper studies ETC Lane optimization design,and analyzes the traffic effect of ETC Lane optimization design by four factors,communication area,allowable maximum speed selection,automatic barrier distance and vehicle detector deployment.(4)The influencing factors of adjacent road interference and car following interference are studied.Further more,improves design of ETC Lane against adjacent road interference and car following interference is carried out,and the effect of the improved design is analyzed,from the two aspects of correcting ETC equipment construction problems and optimizing RSU equipment.
