Research Of The Principle And Practice Of The Region Culture In Hotel Interior Design

With the development of China's economy and increasing overseas visitors, there are more and more types of hotels. In the primary stage of the reform and opening-up, our design level is extraordinarily low, which causing native hotel owners and designers could only imitate occident style to create many luxurious hotels. This kind of style just showed our blindness and diffidence during the primary period of hotel design. Thanks to our gradual opening-up and awakening of peoples' consciousness, this out-dated designing, which is gradually replaced by the hotel interior design with strong regional styles, could not been adapted to the society's demand.This article, focuses on the research of the theory and practice of the regional culture in hotel interior design. This paper starting from the concept of regional culture, making comparison and thinking between regional culture and hotel interior design, summarizes the research idea and design technique of experienced designer. At same time, this paper expounds the importance and inevitability of the region culture in interior design according to the author's search during interior design projects.This paper puts forward the concept that hotel interior design should be put into the social environment and regional culture system. There should put much importance on the unity of opposites of locality and relevance. At the same times,with different design methods, there are different manifestations of regional culture in different design. This paper sums up four typical design methods, analyses their differences and gives intensive explanation by making researching on predecessors'excellent design cases.This paper also discusses how to create an interior environment that's rich of region culture style, utilizing cut-in points of region culture elements with traditional and modern techniques.hotel interior design is an art, Which needs long time research and development.
