The Application And Research Of High Context And Low Context In Interior Design

In the process of formation and development of contemporary interior design, the relationship between culture and design have been inseparable, and the cultural exchanges and development has a role in promoting design. This paper deeply researches the performance of high context and low context on the Art design, especially on the Interior design, and the cause of culture context’s styles and schools. First of all, this paper conducts analysis of the relationship between high context and low context, and put forward the different design features. Then, it explore the cultural roots and philosophy which cause the formation of high context and low context. At the same time, it abstracts the characteristic of high context and low context in interior design, and Summarizes and analyzes the styles and schools at all times and in all over the world. It analyzes that how does the high context and low context affect the formation of different design style and design thought through the case analysis and through the Influencing factors of the process of high context and low context culture formation. Thirdly, this paper analyzes that, under the new era and the trend of Globalization, the development trend of high context and low context cultures, and the shortcomings and defects of Chinese interior design. The paper raises that we should find the bright spot between the differences of high context and low context, and we should show the relationship between context culture and design bitterly with each of the demand of cultural context, n order to realize the nationality and innovation of Chinese design, and push Chinese interior design to the way of their own characteristics’Design culture, and show the meaning of the design we want to express from the basic thinking of design culture. This paper want to meet people’s spiritual needs, and dig out the true meaning of interior design, and realize the combination of Chinese excellent traditional culture and modern design, the combination of National culture and foreign culture. In order to develop a suitable way for the development of Chinese interior design.
