A Study On The Precise Design Of Medium And Small Unit Residential Building In Xi'an

In recent years, along with the rapid development of China's economy, people's living standard of living had a significant increasing. However, the quality of housing in China is still in the design phase of a more extensive at present, not precise residential design. The main aspect embodied in the lack of the research in specific population's living behavior and the design of living space which could meet people's living behavior. The research on young people is lacking in the current study of medium and small unit housing design. This paper will apply to young people in the medium and small unit Xi'an housing as a major study, and explore the design of housing for such groups. The results of research are used to improve the quality of life of young people.By the actual state of research and analysis for the young people who lives in Xi'an, we can understand the living behavior of Xi'an youth groups and their demands in the space of residential. The thesis based on national standards and norms, and the actual state of research data as the basis for conclusions. The conclusion is that the design elements of medium and small unit housing design which suitable for young people of Xi'an and the design principles for the housing design. At last, it is the residence spatial transformation design of two cases in Xi'an which is for the young people living. The design is based on the theoretical research and case studies analysis of the exist problems reflected by the young people who lives in the medium and small unit housing and uses the precise transformation strategy which could solve these problems. Through the transformation design practice, the results of research for the precise design in housing could be applied in practice and demonstration.Precise design is the future direction of residential design. However, there is no end of precise residential design; the design and research of the residential design still needs to be constantly improved in the future. I hope this research can be used as the reference of the medium and small unit residential building design which adapt to the young people living in Xi'an.
