| Study on the problems that traditional structure design overemphizes the reliability but not the economy of structures, the design was conservative. The combination of finite element method and genetic algorithms has been applied to optimization design of R.C. frame structure successfully in this paper, it ensured the harmony and unification of the reliability and the economy of structures; then the system software based on VB and MATLAB has been integrated. The concrete contents are as follows:(1) Designed a program (PFS_FEA) for internal force analysis and graph drawing by MATLAB and the process of finite element method of plane frame structure. The program made the internal force analysis more quickly and intuitively, it also avoided overelaborate work of calculation or lengthy codes of the other programming languages.(2) Introduced the basic theory and specific process of genetic algorithms, chose the sizes and reinforcement of member section of R.C. frame structure as design variables, built the reasonable optimization mathematical model with a target function of minimum cost under the relevant conditions.(3) Presented a basic thinking of optimization design of R.C. frame structure based on finite element method and genetic algorithms, then designed a corresponding program based on PFS_FEA and GA of MATLAB functions. It ensured the speed and quality of optimization design.(4) For further convenience of user operation, solved the problems between two interfaces by ActiveX, integrated a convenient and friendly optimization design system (RCFS) of R.C. frame structure by VB and MATLAB. (5) Analyzed and compared the results with the relevant literatures through a optimization design for a classic example by RCFS, verified the scientificity of the theory application and the maneuverability of the system.The research in this paper also has a certain reference value for optimization design of the other types of structures. |
